Larry Disney began his real estate career in 1977, he is a KY Certified General Real Property Appraiser and received a KY Real Estate Broker’s license in 1983. He retired from the Kentucky Real Estate Appraisers Board in 2017 after serving as a complaint investigator and Executive Director. He served two terms as President of the Association of Appraiser Regulatory Officials (AARO), the group is made-up of appraiser regulatory agencies in the U.S. Larry is now a consultant, working with lending institutions for appraisal compliance needs, and is an instructor of both real estate and real estate appraisal courses. He is a REALTOR member of the Lexington Bluegrass Association of REALTORS, and Delegate-at-Large with the Kentucky Realtors. He is also a member of the Appraisal Institute with an SRA designation, and a member of the American Society of Appraisers with the designation of Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA)-Real Property-Real Property (All Property Types). He served on The Appraisal Foundation Board of Trustees and served one term as a member of the Appraiser Qualifications Board. In November 2019, Larry was appointed for a 3-year term to the Kentucky Real Estate Commission.
