On 26 November 2019 Governor Matthew Bevin appointed Jim Simpson to the Kentucky Real Estate Commission.

Jim’s real estate experience spans 26 years and the majority of that time he served, and continues to, as the Broker and Owner of Jim Simpson Realtors Inc located in Dry Ridge Ky where he is actively engaged with real estate consumers and agents on a daily basis.  He served as the President of the Northern Kentucky Association of Realtors for two terms and has served on the both the Northern Kentucky Association of Realtors and the Northern Kentucky Multiple Listing Service Board of Directors for multiple terms.

Jim is a holds a Bachelor of Science (1987) from Eastern Kentucky University and recently (2017) completed 30 years of service in the US Army (Active and Reserve) obtaining the rank of Colonel.  Jim’s active service includes two combat tours of duty in Operation Just Cause (1989) and Operation Iraqi freedom/Enduring Freedom (2007). 

He and his wife Robin reside in Crittenden Ky and they have 5 children and their first grandchild on the way.
