Beckham is the General Manager of Southern States Glasgow Cooperative, Inc., and has been in that role since 2006. He was named Manager of the Year three times for Southern States Cooperative, an award that is based on efficiency, return on capital, sales volume, and profitability. Prior to becoming the General Manager, he was the Agronomy Center Manager from 2002 - 2006.

Beckham is a graduate of Western Kentucky University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture with an emphasis in Business.  He served on the Barren County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors from 2006 to 2008.  In 2009, Beckham was the recipient of the "Ernie Award", in recognition of commitment to personal and professional excellence.  He also served on the Barren County Extension District Board from 2010 to 2013.

Beckham resides in Smiths Grove, Kentucky, with his wife Darla. They have been married for 21 years and have three children: Madison, 17; Alex, 16; and Carson, 13. About his appointment, Beckham says, "I am very appreciative for the opportunity to serve the Commonwealth on the Kentucky Real Estate Commission and honored that Gov. Bevin would bestow this position upon me. I am excited to learn the responsibilities of the Commission and am looking forward to working with the staff and fellow Commissioners at KREC."

The Commissioners and staff are very excited about Beckham's appointment. His consumer member perspective is very unique and vital to the decision-making process at the Commission. He has strong communication skills, an ability to build relationships with others, and a strong business background. The licensees and consumers of the Commonwealth of Kentucky will be well served under the leadership of Beckham.
