Raquel E. Carter was appointed to the Kentucky Real Estate Commission by Governor Andy Beshear on August 20, 2020. Raquel is currently the Principal Broker and Owner of Guide Realty, Inc.
Raquel has been a licensed REALTOR and member of the Lexington Bluegrass Association of Realtors (LBAR) since 2002 and Principal Broker since 2013. She has actively participated on LBAR’s Community Education Committee, Executive Committee and the Diversity and Inclusion Task Force. She is also the current President-Elect for the Realtor Community Housing Foundation, LBAR’s non-profit organization. In addition to LBAR participation, she is a member of KYR’s Diversity and Inclusion Task Force and former President of the Lexington Chapter of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB).
Raquel is also an appointed member of LFUCG Board of Adjustments, Lexington Community Land Trust (LCLT) Real Estate Development Committee and Commerce Lexington. She has been active in advocacy and representation for Affordable Housing projections including Equestrian View, Davis Park and Rain Garden in Lexington.
Raquel lives in Lexington along with her husband, Bishop E. Carter IV and their two children. Their community involvement includes continued support for the BMW Academy, Black Soil: Our Better Nature, Psalms 82:3 and the LCLT.
